Millard-Henry Clinic is proud to announce the introduction of a new video remote interpreting device available at Russellville, Atkins and Dardanelle clinics for use in primary care settings and each of our specialty departments—cardiology, general surgery, obstetrics/gynecology and pediatrics. For our patients at the Millard-Henry Clinic in Dover, audio interpreting services remain available. This innovative service connects non or limited English-speaking and deaf or hard-of-hearing patients with a translator via video or audio chat, ensuring effective communication between patients and providers.
The video remote interpreting device is designed to facilitate clear and accurate communication, enhancing the patient experience and ensuring health equity for all. By offering real-time translation services, patients can feel understood and confident in their healthcare interactions, leading to better health outcomes.
“We are excited to offer the video remote interpreting device service,” said Mandy McCurrie, Assistant Director at Millard-Henry Clinic. “Our commitment to health equity drives us to provide inclusive and accessible healthcare services. Feedback from our patients has been overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing that they now feel more understood and informed about their health thanks to this service.”
The video remote interpreting device connects patients with professional, medically certified translators who assist in real-time conversations between patients and healthcare providers. This service is especially valuable for those with limited English proficiency and for deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals, ensuring that all patients receive the care and information they need.
Millard-Henry Clinic is dedicated to making healthcare accessible and equitable for everyone. The introduction of the video remote interpreting device is a testament to our ongoing efforts to address the diverse needs of our community and provide the highest standard of care.
