Saint Mary’s Regional Health System is pleased to welcome Interventional Cardiologist Dr. Surbhi Chamaria to the medical staff. Dr. Chamaria brings extensive experience in advanced cardiovascular care, further enhancing the services available to the River Valley community.
Dr. Chamaria earned her medical degree from Kasturba Medical College in Mangalore, India and completed her residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. She further specialized with a fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. With board certification in interventional cardiology, Dr. Chamaria is well-versed in a wide range of procedures, including coronary angiograms and stents, peripheral atherectomy and superficial vein ablations.
Dr. Chamaria is committed to providing high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients, with a focus on conditions such as coronary artery disease, peripheral artery disease and superficial vein disease. She is fluent in both English and Hindi, ensuring effective communication with a diverse patient population.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Chamaria is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions (FSCAI). She has been recognized for her contributions to the field, including her role in the first all-female live case at the Cardiovascular Research Technologies (CRT) conference. Dr. Chamaria also developed BiFURCAID, an innovative app for interventional cardiologists.
When she’s not caring for patients, Dr. Chamaria enjoys teaching, outdoor activities like hiking and biking and playing tennis. She also enjoys the company of her 2-year-old mini goldendoodle.
